Those that have never had steamed crabs - would be in for a treat. Although they are a mess to eat and a bit of work, they are TASTY, especially with a COLD beer or three. AND mid-June is my birthday - SO WE COULD HAVE CAKE!
So, June can be brutally hot on the river, we can hope for a mild week but June could be good. Frog bite is usually full on by then, and the snakehead catch really seemed to pick up this year in June. June is good for me, the college "kids" will be out of school. Let's toss this around a bit more. 2013 Zookerfest on the Potomac? Week of the 10th with official Zookerfest June 13 -15? Week of the 17th with officail Zookerfest June 20 -22? If either of these dates suit I can be there for the week, so any out-of-towners want to come for the week i can help them out and show them around. AND, I'm certain Captain Mike will have a good handle on what is going on with the river on whatever date is choosen. If you're traveling any distance, it sure is more worth while to stay more than a few days. Travel will be the biggest expense, the Super 8 in Indianhead is about $70/night including tax for the room (not per/person) and splitting that - it's not too bad. Hmmm...that is a llllooooonnnnggggg drive to Indian Head.
I think I would just have to suffer through and break it into three smaller drives: Dale Hollow for some Smallies, Cherokee for some big Stripers, and then the home stretch to Zookerfest. Darn the bad luck.

Or, you could shorten your drive and head to Lake Erie for smallies, then down to the Potomac.................. I could meet you in Erie, dearie. LMFAO, like - I FEEL YOUR PAIN, pal.

sounds good to me i can come as either boater or non boater. would be easier not to drag boat. that can be decided later when we get a good head count. either date works for me, while you two Rich guys are at it why not mexico for bass and some deep sea fishing.lol

Maybe my newfound psychic powers are the result of breaking my left little toe earlier this evening. Hung it up on a chair leg not paying attention. Of course, nothing to be done about it. It's straight, but hurts like a *****, and will I'm sure for weeks until it heals.

With four open chairs on my boats we can take care of you..
You see you could hop into gas mizer and not break the bank on this trip. Heck even my boats have MD license sticker that covers the license thing. It would cost one US dollar as it has to be a paid trip. I would lean toward the earlier June dates BTW.. Capt Mike
