Got one on my own craft!
Well I just bought some stuff online to make my own plastics, I made some drop shot goby/shad type baits. I took them out this weekend and got my first fish on my own homaide baits! Feel pretty good and makes fishing a lot funner knowing I cought that fish on my own homaide lure! I made my own drop shot weight I used too! She wasnt this biggest fish ever... by far.. But it was fun!

Nice looking baits. Isn't it great to catch one on something you made? I make my own spinnerbaits so I know the feeling.

Thats really cool. What a great feeling. Hey Reb, I got out the other night for about half an hour to try out one of the new spinnerbaits I made this weekend. Tossed it from a pier under some overhanging tree branches right up against shore and started to reel it back when "whammm". A nice 3 pounder nailed it HARD. The way he tore up that water and fought I thought he was closer to five. But get this, he knocked one of the eyes right out of that spinnerbaits head, hahaha. Now I'm thinkin I better get me some eyes too.

That's great, Keith-congrats! Haven't had one knock the eyes off, but I have had them straighten the wire out.

I know how it feel to catch stuff on your own handmade baits, I make In-lines and Buzzbaits, and when I caught my first fish on one, it was awesome.

Those look like an excellent replica of the Roboworm. Trust me, silver shad will catch fish, it's my go to color for Roboworms. I'll give them an on the water test for ya, if you'll send me a bag of the silver worms. I'll even send back pictures.

I'd be interested in looking at what you've made. Always interested in custom lures. I'll send you a pm.

Nice-looking Plastic
It's always a great feeling to catch fish on lures you've made. I carve my poppers, prop baits and shallow runninglures, paint 'em, put the hardware on, etc. The 2 largest bass I've caught on my lures has been a 7 lb 3 oz and an 8 lb 10 oz. My lures are shaped nicely and their action is pretty good, but I can't paint worth a toot! They are butt-ugly, but the bass haven't seemed to mind.
Keep up the geat work! DrB
