gonna hit a lil hot lake tomorrow
hoping to have some early fall luck like the last couple weeks. heading out to the famous lake ponemah in the heart of michigan. it is a nice lake, but i am still looking for the monster i hear is there, lol.
actually hoping to catch a few nice fish and take some measurements, so i can use the weight calculator. according to my crappy scale i have we have caught nothing over 3 pounds this year, but i know that cant be right. should be a nice still morning, so expect some big news when i get back tomorrow afternoon. ken |

very calm morning, turned into a windy pile of crap, but got 4 keepers none the less. only 1 for me though, bunch of small ones instead. partner got 1 over 3# according to the fish scale on this site, which makes me feel better about not having anything over 3 all year, lol. i bet we have had a few over 4 or 5 lbs this year, but not according to my crappy scale from BASS.
all in all, fun day on the water, as if there is anything else. have a good weekend all. ken |

I have never fished Ponemah, Fenton, Lobdell, or any others in that exact area. I do know that they get hit hard with tournaments all year long though, one or two a week. There must be a reason they have tournaments there, but I have stayed away since there is so much activity on those 3-500 acre lakes.
