Re: Confidence Cranks
As posted earlier my favorite crankbait is a Norman Baby N Mr. Green Jeans color (special color), runs 3-5 feet. I purchased my 1st one back in May and thought it would be a good color for very clear water. It turned out to be not worth anything in very clear water. I decided to try the crank in water that had a greenish tent and I could see the lure from 1-2.5 feet deep. The lure has a gelcoat and in about a month the gelcoat was scratched so much by teeth marks that the color looked foggy when the lure was dry. Shortly afterward I ended up loosing the crank is some rocks after trying get it out for about 30 minutes. I order some more Mr. Green Jeans and some of their other special colors which included a color called Chili Dog. I tested the Chili Dog color in the Baby N one day and caught some bass before loosing it to a bucket-mouth that I never saw. I am about to put in another order.
If you are interested in ordering some I have found the website it is www.bearoutdoors.com, however you have to order by phone. I have never ordered by phone from this place before because my local tackle store has the baits. ROBZILLA I would like to know what kind of cranks and how you painted them? ??? Thanks again guys ;D ;D |

Excaliber FAT Free Shad
Zoom W.E.C Bagleys Bomber If you buy one crankbait, go ahead and get two or three of the same kind (color, size, etc..) All crankbaits will or should catch fish, however only a few will enable you to catch keeper bass on a regular basis. Some don't track correctly or run as deep as others that are the same type. In the event that you get some that don't run true, they make great gifts. Just take some "rough" sand paper and scratch it up. This makes the bait look as though fish have been caught while using this particular lure. |

Re: Confidence Cranks
I like the Manns Baby 1- and 4- in most colors, they cast alot easier than the bandits.
I also like the Bill Norman cranks in a about 5-6 colors. Suspending rattle'n rogues stay in my box also as well as rattle traps. I have a couple of different rapalas that I like as well. My favorite so far this year is the Manns baby 4- in brown crawdad,I been nailin'em with it latly!!!
