Very impressive work. Should bring a boat load of compliments. (pun intended)

Default Max 4 Camo Bass Boat Project

I actually set a budget before starting the build and needless to say I threw that out the window after ordering everything from cabelas but the deck was the cheapest part! I went to home depot and bought 8-10 1x4s @ $2 and one sheet of 8x4 3/4in plywood. I also bought a big thing of screws so I think all together I spent around $50. I had a friend help this winter and by no means am I a carpenter so we kind of just figured it out as we went and it turned out pretty good! Most people who didn't know I added it thought the boat came that way so I guess thats good.

I still love the saying on the windshelid. Like it so much I done went to hunting one up for my boat. Anywyas went back and was looking over the boat again and looked at the pic of the wiring. What a mess. Your thoughts on a power block are right on. Thats the only way to do a boat . Run a neg. and positive up to a point under dash. Only 2 wires coming up so far. Run all neg to the neg post. Now from each device you will have a power or positive side and the switch that turns on the device. Here is where people get confused. All you have to do to make the device work is run a wire from the corresponding switch to the power block. The 12+ wire for the device goes to the power block. Its that easy. You are using the switch to break or make the power supply. You can even reverse it and run ALL 12v+ wires to a central positive post and then use the switch to make or break the negative or ground rather. Very simple and straight forward. One more suggestion for those reading. On the system you use PLEASE be sure that the power block or the negative block.....which ever you decide to use make sure its a FUSED power block.

Default Max 4 Camo Bass Boat Project

Well I've been working on my boat the last day or two and after a couple of painstaking hours of trying to sand the trailer by hand and I finally broke down and got a angle grinder. It took about 20 min. and I had about the whole thing done. Needless to say theres the right tool for every job. Heres the trailer right now.

If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'll be Herculining it.

I also bolted the bottom plate for the front pedastal and added grip tape so you can step in and out and I won't have to worry about someone accidentally ripping the camo. I know the rod savers are in a goofy spot but when i was intstalling some of the camo clad i left the heat gun on and it burnt a nice hole in the new carpet... so this covers it... Sucks either way.

I had some decals I bought and put them all around.

Hopefully the trailer will be done tomorrow and I'll post some more pics.

Have I said it too many times that I lvoe your boat. Man it looks good.

For all those talking about the camoclad, here is someone elses project write up on it. They used a boat that was almost exactly like mine actually. I dont think I will be spending the money on the camoclad soon, I love the look but I just got just enough inheritence money to pay off the credit cards, so I'm gonna be responsible for once.

looks good. my dad says that he dosent think we can do the platform since my boat has a 35 (one day upgrade) and he dosent think it will go more than 10 mph with all that weight. maybe if i go to a 50 i can but you have to at least have the floor so it can always be added. I was disappointed when i saw that the camo dosent cover the bottom and since were painting the boat white the bottom cant be white with camo.

Hey guys sorry it's been so long since my last update, but with school and hunting season I've been pretty busy. I thought I'd post some of the last pics I've taken.

Well thats pretty much all I have right now. I ran out of carpet so I haven't quite finished it, but this spring I plan on finishing it because... well... unfortunately I have to sell it. It's painstaking, but I have to get rid of it. I plan on asking 4k with it all finished up, but if anyone is interested in it now I'd sell it for 3500 with just the rear not carpeted. I got to fish it for the end of the summer and it runs like a champ! Worked out a couple of kinks and now it runs pretty darn good. So if anyone is interested let me know or if you just have some comments please leave them!

Default Max 4 Camo Bass Boat Project

Hey sorry I did not reply, it has been a while since I looked at my post. To answer your question, I went on ebay an typed in bass boat windshield and found this one. Someone on there had a bunch of them and I just found one that would fit my application. It did take some creative mounting though. Good luck!
