Default Let's play a game - Pick a Lure, Any Lure

Ok, so here are the rules:

First a notification – There are no losers or winners, I just want to see what everyone consider their go-to bait is.

Here are the rules:
You are only allowed one Lure

What Lure do you use?

I’m torn between Top water Lure and a White Swimming Jig

I’ll get back with you on it after some more thought.

I would def. go with a swimjig, they can be fished in a lot of different ways, color would be a much tougher choice, I have had my best luck on a watermelon colored swimjig with a watermelon trailer so I would probably go with that.

1/2 oz. black and blue football jig with a finesse skirt and a Zoom Super Chunk Jr. trailer (either black/blue flake or Green Pumpkin depending on water clarity).

I would probably go with a TX rigged beaver bait in Okeechobee craw.

Well, after seeing all of the "Jig" replies I'll settle with my very OWN Mumpy's Swimming Jig but I'm going to go with the color white. The White Swimming Jig has caught more Quality bass this year than I've probably caught in the past 20 years. I'm simply amazed by it.

With that said, I can fill the boat up with a Pop-R, hehe

I would have to pick a 3/8 oz spinnerbait with a willow/colorado tandem blade setup. White magic skirt with gold blades. Even when fishing is at it's worst, I can usually score with that.

3/8 oz black and blue (or purple, lol), All Terrain casting jig, with a BLACK pork trailer. Rain or shin, cold or hot, active or inactive, this thing can go it all.

For me it would be a 5" Senko, probably in green/pumpkin. It would not be my favorite way to fish, but limited to one bait - that's my choice. Choice of rigging options, shallow or deep, weeds or rock, this bait works in virtually all conditions on any water.

If I can't have a wild shiner it would have to be a 7-1/2" black Texas rigged Culprit worm.

5 inch curlytail grub.

Being limited to only one lure but not limited to the terminal tackle the possibilities of that bait with all the terminal tackle availabe make that bait the closest thing to an all around bait that you can imagine.

X2 Couldn't have said it any better although I might go with a 4" instead of the 5"

Wow! I have read this thread several times and keep coming back with hopes of dropping a single bait into the discussion. I just can't, I am severely hampered by all of the "other" variables, different lakes, depths, water temps, seasons, thermoclines, cover, structure, clarity all keep getting in my way!!
