I use the salt craws..have tried the lizards and some others, I can tell you the plastics are fairly firm, they aren't as soft as the strike king stuff....which i'm not a fan of at all. The salt craws have produce a lot of nice keeper bass for me...and come in a myriad of colors. I primarily use the brown and black claw, or the black and blue claw. will use other colors at times but those are my two go to's.

I had a couple a while back, LOVE the detail and color patterns. Possibly the most realistic looking craw out there.

I used to use them exclusively but Gene didnt get on the band wagon and stay up with todays trends. He still makes great plastics. Wish they still made the ORIGINAL cameleon color. It was a redish colored lure that was AWSOME on table rock and other waters like it.

http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishin...1&d=1143367889 Laser, Is this the color you were looking for ?I got about 800 salt craws left in which I will use up this summer.Gene Larew makes a great bait, not as soft as the strike king, but I will still buy Gene Larew before I will the strike King baits. They flat out catch fish.P N J

Thats the color buddy. I used to fish that color almost exclusively at Table Rock and was ripping the bass when alot of others where coming up short. Apparently it closely imitated the color of the craws on the Rock. I used the craws and the worms in that color. Won quite a few $'s cause of that color. The guy I used to buy from had his tackle shop only minutes from the lake and stopped in one day they where out. Told him get more no results. I went to the site and seems that they discontinued the color cause it wasnt a seller. Never could figure out that one.

Default Gene Larew

Warning: I recently purchased some of the Larew Floating Tubes. A sizeable number of them had defects; uneven or too-short skirts and evidence of having been removed from the mold too quickly. The defect rate was about 50%.
I called Larew (Owasso, OK) and a great lady sent me replacements, at no charge, that are perfect.
Larew makes a great line of products. I especially like the "Hoo Daddy" creature bait. Still, I recommend, especially with the tubes, that you check the package's contents for defects BEFORE you leave the store.
Note: The plastic used in the floating Larew plastics is not transparent or even very translucent. The colors are rather solid.
My sincerest compliments to "Diane" at Larew for her cheerful and positive attitude and actions in assuring customer satisfaction.

I like the Larew "Hoo Daddy's" I think that how it's spelled. Great night time bait. Similar to the brush hog. Junebug color.
