Those Rebel craws are gone within days at the local wal-mart, here. You can hardly find them in stock unless you come the day of or after they re-stock.

Well, whether they're better or just psych me out, the pointer78s work for me better than any other small jerkbait I've ever used, so I'll stick w/ them.

Has anybody tried those mini Xraps though?? They have a really good action and can catch fish as well.

Live Pointers don´t "run true" and never will because they weren´t designed with the intention to run true, the Live Pointer is a jerkbait designed to be jerked the moment it touches the water, the bait doesn´t swim.

They're pretty sweet, I would recommend the pointer 78 and the pointer 78 DD in nishiki, table rock shad or aurora black.

the lil x-raps -not the full sized ones-look and move remarkably like a pointer-78- yes the paint jobs on pointers are outstanding.. but several company's make imo better paint jobs on there cranks-norman being one- some thing i found is yozui hard core baits have a special verison that cost $23 bucks the regular hard core is $5 bucks...

Zooker, how bout the larger X-raps, are they any good? Just curious since I picked up some X-raps in the larger size not the smaller size.

Yes they do, but, not all of them do it the way they are supposed to do, also, water temperature affects the bouyancy so you have to keep that in mind. They are supposed to suspend at water temperatures above 55°.

Actually the x-raps will slowly sink, just depends on how fast with the water temps.

am with lizard on this the sink slowly. belive me i rarely ever use a jerk bait -of any kind- once the water temps get above 60..

wishin
the bigger ones are as close to useing a fluke as i have ever seen -with 20 times the hook up rate..

Zooker, thanks for the info. I picked up three X-raps in the following colors: Black back and Silver, Olive Back and silver, and some kind of bass color (it has the bass lines/spots across the sides).

The rogue is a great all year around bait for the walleyes up here, everyone hits the causeways (bridges, rip rap) for bass and wally's

Zooker, I will have to check out the saltwater versions. I consistently hear about freshwater dudes using saltwater lures in freshwater. This is something that I have not tried.

Just out of curiousity, do the saltwater X-raps have feather on the tail hook? What kinda hooks do they have?

Just make sure that your LC baits don't break off on the cast. I personally have done it many times.
Answer: Don't reel the bait all the way to the tip of the rod. This "may" eliminate some of the misfortunes. It won't eliminate all the problems but it will help.
Recently had an RC 1.5,a BDS 1, and an LV 200 go for a looooong ride.(and that was recently) You can't be shy when throwing cranks.

Cant bring myself to shelling out that much for a lure. Even w/ my lure retreiver I still lose lures to the tree and stump gods. I get mad if I lose an x-rap, imagine a 25.00 LC, I would probably jump in the alligator infested water after it.
