Some Wildlife Photos
Went out to a local metro park yesterday to try some bird photography. I was really hoping for a hawk or something cool, but here's what I got.
For those of you who know a lot about photography or have recently gotten into cameras with interchangeable lenses, here's what I was shooting with yesterday: Canon 300mm f/4.0L USM. Unfortunately, it's not mine. I'm just borrowing it from my uncle, but it sure is a lot of fun to shoot with.

Great pics. Actually, Cardinals are one of my favorite birds.
As long as they are not playing the Brewers that is. |

Very nice pictures. I love to photograph wildlife too, with birds one of my favorite subjects.

Very lovely pics man. Wish my hands were that steady. I got to have the camera on a tripod to take a clear pic. Course it don't help that I'm using cheap cameras either.

Thanks guys!
stick, these were just a handful of good pics out of a large batch of blurry ones. I hate carrying a tripod with my and I've missed countless shots getting one set up. Knowing the settings on your camera help a lot. I was able to set my shutter speed and let the camera take care of the rest. That way, I was more likely to get a sharp image. BB

Great photos! I too wind up with many throw-aways to get one good shot when shooting wildlife. I've heard arguments for both sides of shooting in Aperture and Shutter priority for wildlife and I've tried both.
I don't know if I could ever get used to those big white lenses though. |
