a couple hundred hunters with guns like this could solve the snow goose problem in 1 season.

alot. check this out.

The Arkansas Snow Goose Conservation Hunt takes place after duck season and runs from Feb. 4 thru Apr. 27, 2008. We will hunt as long as the geese stay around, which is usually around the beginning of April. This season has no limit on the number of geese we take, no plug requirements, and no Arkansas hunting license needed. However, you will have to call 1-800-364-GAME for a free snow goose hunting permit. You are also required to bring an out-of-state hunting license for this hunt.

to put it in perspective, we can only take 4 mallard ducks and 2 other species. only 2 of the mallards may be hens. plug gun to hold 3 shells. some areas you are even limited to carrying 15 or 25 shotgun shells. and of course they have to be steel shot only.

Wow. I bet you are not even required to haul off your kill. I think this is the state's way of saying they have a snow goose population problem.
Are snow geese good eating?

i don't really know about the eating part of it, i don't goose hunt mainly beacuse i don't live in the delta. i've hunted mallard ducks in flooded timber all my life and it's hard to go sit in a muddy field once you've done that.
