I plan on reserving cabin#(0), so far it's Ron and Adam, Don and me filling this cabin. There's still a pullout available for someone.

Someone needs to think about reserving cabin#(10). This 2BR cabin is located right next to cabin#(0) and in my opinion is in a great location.(see my earlier post)
These two cabins are the closest to the marina.

Here's the link to cabin#(10)
http://www.cedarhillresort.com/cabin10.html

The resort begins accepting new reservation for the upcoming year on October 1.

Ron, that is kinda what I'm thinking about doing too. The only thing that I might do differently is arrive some time late Sunday afternoon on the 28th, so I'm able to get an early start the next morning. I'm not to sure about sleeping arrangements for that night though. Shoot, I might just fish the night away and then check in sometime during the day on Monday. This is gonna be fun!

O.K. Everybody, after hearing that the original date of the get-together won't work for some of you, I'm leaving this open for us to decide on which dates to fish Dale Hollow.

"Dear Lord, please bless this event."

Let it be know, that the week we decide on must be before May 25, so that we can maximize on the "off season rates".

And let it be known, if we don't get much response by September 30(Resort will start taking reservations October 1), we will resort back to the original dates of this EVENT (April 28 through MAY5,+or-)

As of this moment I am clear after May 11.

John, if you or anybody else wants to carpool a part of the way up, I will throw in for gas. All we would have to do is strap my kayak to the cajun.

You mean hanging out with us at Dale doesn't count as a vacation?

I was in Celina this past weekend and saw Stephen... and spend too long in his store lol. Great looking place, also had to stop for some BBQ next door. If yall didnt get it last year definitely get it next year! As I said a few months ago. Im going to keep my options open and hopefully with school and everything I can come down.

Also, regarding CHR. Im so pleased yall had a good experience. I know that times are hard for them, but they are doing all they can to please their customers. I know sometimes marinas that dont sell out, or have people back out of a rental will have very low prices for houseboats. Granted you cant schedule them and will only know if you can get them a few days before, but that is also a thought. I like the houseboat idea you guys have, it would be fun to be out on the lake. I have always wanted to stay in one, but when you have a house 20 minutes away the thought of trying one out seems too expensive.

One other good thing to note about the resorts location is that it is only a few miles away from the town of Celina and Stephen Headrick's One Stop Bait/Tackle.

I was very impressed with the marina and staff, which are on site 24 hours and day. (slip rentals are available)

Default Pointed out to me

This post was pointed out to me by another, I only have the following to say. No other comment by me is not necessary except we can see who the primary starter of this kind of **** is and it is not me!

Mother passed away but I am pretty sure she has a spot in there for me, and let's get off mom's - the whole town just got off yours!

Whenever you feel froggy leap my friend whenever...

Proverbs 25 (New International Version)

More Proverbs of Solomon

25 These are more proverbs of Solomon, compiled by the men of Hezekiah king of Judah:

2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter;
to search out a matter is the glory of kings.
3 As the heavens are high and the earth is deep,
so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.
4 Remove the dross from the silver,
and a silversmith can produce a vessel;
5 remove wicked officials from the king’s presence,
and his throne will be established through righteousness.
6 Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence,
and do not claim a place among his great men;
7 it is better for him to say to you, “Come up here,”
than for him to humiliate you before his nobles.
What you have seen with your eyes
8 do not bring[a] hastily to court,
for what will you do in the end
if your neighbor puts you to shame?
9 If you take your neighbor to court,
do not betray another’s confidence,
10 or the one who hears it may shame you
and the charge against you will stand.
11 Like apples[b] of gold in settings of silver
is a ruling rightly given.
12 Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold
is the rebuke of a wise judge to a listening ear.
13 Like a snow-cooled drink at harvest time
is a trustworthy messenger to the one who sends him;
he refreshes the spirit of his master.
14 Like clouds and wind without rain
is one who boasts of gifts never given.
15 Through patience a ruler can be persuaded,
and a gentle tongue can break a bone.
16 If you find honey, eat just enough—
too much of it, and you will vomit.
17 Seldom set foot in your neighbor’s house—
too much of you, and they will hate you.
18 Like a club or a sword or a sharp arrow
is one who gives false testimony against a neighbor.
19 Like a broken tooth or a lame foot
is reliance on the unfaithful in a time of trouble.
20 Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day,
or like vinegar poured on a wound,
is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the Lord will reward you.
23 Like a north wind that brings unexpected rain
is a sly tongue—which provokes a horrified look.
24 Better to live on a corner of the roof
than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
25 Like cold water to a weary soul
is good news from a distant land.
26 Like a muddied spring or a polluted well
are the righteous who give way to the wicked.
27 It is not good to eat too much honey,
nor is it honorable to search out matters that are too deep.
28 Like a city whose walls are broken through
is a person who lacks self-control.

I'm starting to warm up to this idea a lot. Its taken about a week, following the conclusion of my last grand odyssy. The other option was the keys, tarpon and peacock bass, but honestly, I dont think Im a strong enough fly fisherman yet to waste a trip on that. I need to work towards that goal.

My question is, what about the multi-species fishing at dale? I know its got some trout. Is the musky population a trolling affair, or can you cast for them with a legit chance of success?
