i was going to try these out and was wondering what hooks i should use and what size lure i shold buy. but my main question is should i use my bc "frog" rod (with braid) or my lighter bc "jerkbait" rod that has 12# mono, or my openface that has 12#mono
or if yall know any other baits that work /hold up better or any that are cheaper tell me about them thanks again guys

There are a ton of hollow body swimbaits, although most are pricey. I've got mine riggest with a 4/0 hooks (for the 3.5" ones) I've also taken the rubber out of a rubber core sinke(1/4oz I believe) and pinched it onto the hook shank. It works good unless I'm fishing in cover. I do like the money minnow though.

Our BPS store just started selling weighted hooks made for these lures. I would go with the weighted 6/0 for the 5 1/2 inch size baits.
