Default good day on the cumberland river

was fishing the cumberland river in clarksville, tn. was throwing a 5 in tiki stick.(xmas tree). was sitting in anywhwere from 20 to 40 foot of water. about 10 foot off bank. throwing to the bank which was 2 to 8 feet before it dropped off real quick. got most of my hits about 3 foot off bank. had to use 1 0z weight with 12 in leader. they where running turbines about 4 miles up river and also locking boats thur which wouild really get the current moving. caught 22 fish in about four hours. then the pleasure boats started to show up. plus barge traffic. had5 fish over 18 inches. the rest where all over 15 in legal size here. water temp was 78.5 and the morniong started out with air temp 52 and got up to about 75 buy 11 am when i quit. some days it just pays to get out of bed.
