Default How do you tie live rubber to a jig?

I need some help I want to start making my own jigs but I can't find any info on how to tie the LR to the head to make it like the ones you buy. Any help would be great.

You need some rubber collars and shirt making tool. Check out JannsNetCraft. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/skirts-...110000006.aspx

Johnny-try positioning the rubber collar so it is NOT dead center. Make one side longer than the other, then put the skirt on with the longer side towards the head so it flares back towards the hook. I made a few jig skirts the other night and made them all like this.

Living rubber while good wont flair like the silicon ones,it wont ever look the same but does not need to.
The jans link is good for making either ones.

Slip a 3/8 piece of surgical tubing over the place where you tie the rubber first and us a small guage zink coated wire to tie it! It will flare real nice!
