Default Howell and Daiwa

Anyone else see that Daiwa signed Randy Howell. I was surprised to see they signed anyone after cutting Ike.

Which brings up the question: Did they cut Ike or did Ike leave?

I really like howell but seem like they would want to keep bigger name like Ike. Maybe he did leave.

Then again, Howell might not be getting the perks Ike was pulling. Sponsorships usually work in a tier fashion. You gotta think, Ike has a degree in marketing. He is keen as a jedi master in exploiting himself. He probably just got a better deal from Abu during contract renewal. Revos are the hottest thing since white bread right now anyways. With NFE making weekly contributions, they are blowing through the roof. They probably have the money to have more big timers since they are pushing some hot products.

It also brings up, what were the reasons the Diawa cut him if in fact that's what happened.

As far as Howell goes I agree with Bubba. Diawa is trying to downsize and Ike was getting all the perks you can think of with Diawa so Diawa went with someone who wouldn't mind not having all them perks.

Haha....yes, I have probably put at least a couple of his kids through college now. Maybe they'll take after their Dad and major in Gross Exaggeration Studies.

Ike is now sponsored by Pure Fishing, and will be using new Abu rods at the Classic, called Veritas.
