I read that this morning. I think it's a cool thing for him to do. He's gotten where he wants to be and he doesn't want to take away from someone else getting that chance. Odds are he wouldn't win again but I think he realized he would feel a little guilty if he did. I think Brandon is a great fisherman with a bright future and a really good dude. He handled himself really well last season for a 22 yr old rookie fishing with the big boys.

I think it’s honorable. I always root for that guy in the federation because a win can be a career maker. I always get blasted on my opinion on the pros fishing the opens. I just think there’s so few ways to make it into the elites you need every opportunity. And the sport needs new members…..new characters and personalities. I think that helps with the viewing of this sport. Take ike….you may hate him but you got to admit he’s done something for the sport.

It was also really refreshing to see a guy like Palaniuk be so humble and appreciative of the opportunity he was given, especially compared to a guy like Jonathan Van Dam who acted like it was god given right to be there. A little humility goes a long way in my book.

I agree 100%. I think that Brandon is a great guy as well as a great stick. I think he will be a start of the sport in the future and I am ok with that.
