Default Berkley Gulp

Anyone tried these and those that have do ya like them. I bought 4 bags of the 7"turtle back worm in black and so far I think they suck compared to the original Power worm. Leave them outta the water for a bit and they start to dry up and its like throwing a black stick. No action. I do beleive I will try these a time or 2 more and if I dont get any better results than this I'm gonna give them to the first one that comes along.

Yeah, I've tried them, but never got any strikes, I got three or four bags headed for the dumpster. The big deal with them is supposed to be the scent or pheromone (whatever), they release. It's real stinky stuff too, surprised cat fish don't bite on it.

I doubt if I will be buying any more new gulp products.

They work excellent for saltwater. Make sure to take them off your hook at the end of they day or you myswell have but concrete on your hook!

Stick them in with other baits and the smell will get all over them. The stuff has got to be the worst smelling bait of all time.

Those things stink so horrible. Thats a good point about the cats not hitting them.

I am going to give the bat wing frog a try. I didn't like their worm baits. Didn't catch a thing on them.

How about give them away to the tourney winner, might help everyone else win it next time rotfl. They are just like the old mega Hoover vacuum's, you get the point.

Since there are bunches other baits better than Berkley Gulp at same price, so just forget about it! Regards to the price, I have to say Berkley Gulp sucks!

Default Gulp

Hi guys coming from Australia I am happy to offer you guys some help.

Over here Gulp would have to be the highest used lure in our National and local competiotions on the bream tournament circuit.

The most popular colour by far would be pumpkinseed which is just that a light brown colour.

As this species of bream are a saltwater species Gulps seem to perform better in the saltwater. Do they have a place in the fresh? My quick answer would be yes for sure. Now my favourite in the saltwater is the 6" sandworm style. I usually break these in half and fish them on a light 1/16th - 1/20 oz heads rigged on size 4 hooks.

If the fishing is slowe then usually the Gulp will score me some fish for the livewell.

They are not the magical answer to every fishermans dreams but they do serve a purpose and have a high level of need in my tackle box. Other great styles are the 3" minnow and the 2" grub. Another good colour is the Smelt Gulp one.

No they do not sponsor me for the record.

I would not be caught fishing the salt without them.

Nick

My friend uses them and catches just about everything that swims with them. I baught a jar of their worms and havent caught one fish on them. The gulp! Corn, however, works very well in streams for brown trout.
