Calcutta 200
hi everyone,
a friend/coworker recently gave me (yes gave me) some of his old fishing equipment. One item being a shimano calcutta 200 baitcasting reel. From what I gather the reel is probably about 8 years old and really just needs a good cleaning. My question is for anyone with experience with this reel what gearing does it have? I looked up the current model which I believe is the calcutta 200B and the gearing is 6.0-1. This reel being older though I am thinking it could be 5.0-1. Any guidance would be great as I am still only about a year into using baitcasters.... thanks!!!

I have a couple Calcuttas that are a few years old too, a 100 and a 50. They are great reels, very well made. I sent mine in to a local guy and had them cleaned and it made a big difference, very much worth it.
Maybe you can find some info here: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/cont...chematics.html |
