Default My Huge "Bass"

Hey guys! I was fishing on the shores of lake erie today with ryan and we were fishing for bass. Immediately I lose 3 fish that snapped my line. About 15 minutes before we had to leave I hook into a big one and ryan yells "I got one!" and I said "me too!". Ryan brings his in and its a 3-4 pound sheephead. When I bring mine in after a 5-10 minute fight we weigh it. It was 6 pounds 12 ounce sheephead! We got pics but ryan has to send them to me. I will post the pics as soon as i can. It was the biggest fish of my life!

Here is that pic of the 7 lb. Sheephead... just to add to the story, my fish was caught on a Bomber 4A in Chrome/Green/Black and his big one (below) was caught on a 1/4 oz. Ratlin' Jighead with Coffee Tube.

Thumbs up

Sweet! Those are a blast to catch. The thing I hate about them is their slime. It's like a giant glob of snot.

Bet that son of a gun put up a heck of a fight. We only find sheep head in the Gulf and brackish water near the coast. But I don't think they get that big. They got some chompers, too down here.

Man those sheephead (freshwater drum) do put up a good fight, but when you're out perch fishing, they're really a pain. That's is a nice one though.
