Default 2 dinks walk into a bar...

...but as 66king would say...Mallen 2, Skunk 0 lol
Not an impressive haul but at least I didn't get the big goose egg.
I figure them at 14 & 16".
Kinda got an ego stroke for an inferior size fish!
A guy came down to the dam to ready his boat and asked how I'd been doin. Told him I landed the only strike I'd gotten and it was a 16.
He went back to his campsite and his dad came down and tells me rumors are flyin around the campsite about me lol. I asked what rumor? he tells me the word is, i caught a nice one lol. apparently he and i have differing opinions on "nice ones" but i'll take it just the same

Fishing a river. Casting into the calm areas and bringing it out over the dropoff into a strong current. He hit right at the dropoff.

Thanks buddy! Yep, the Jitterbug is tried and true, to be sure!
Fishing that spot, I have yet to find a better lure than the Jitterbug. Caught 2 Rockies on it last year that both qualified for the master angler list. Sadly, I only got pics of 1 lol.
Come on up anytime! I've got a spare room and enough meat in the freezer to cause a PETA riot!

LOL Either way, they both send differing messages eh? Great conversation starters to be sure. And if you knew the guys that will be in my boat, you'd agree on the dinks
Told my buddy about the Size Doesn't Matter idea. He told me "keep tellin yourself that". I told him flat out, if I was worried about that, it wouldn't go on my boat

LOL I wish!
Me giving teaching lessons would be like Bobby Boucher trying to instruct the young kids at LTs football camp.

Benzie county. The smaller I got off Lake Dubonnet and the other came off the Betsie River below Grass Lake.
They still on their beds up there? Seems the stragglers are just about done around here.
One of these days I wanna fish Torch. No idea what part of it though!

Still on beds at Torch. Hard, hard lake to fish. I found 11 beds on the north end of the lake. I was able to hit them all on Thursday however in Tournament time I was only able to get two. Some other guys found some on beds as well.

To the guys who have never heard of Torch Lake - 18 miles long, 2 miles wide 330' deep, next to no weeds and CRYSTAL clear.

Day late and a dollar short bama. Refer to post #9
There's a reason a married exgf from wisconsin still comes to see me. Probably the same reason an exgf with a serious boyfriend is constantly texting me, wanting me to come meet her at the bar.....the most telling of all though, would be the tee shirt one of the ex's gave me for my birthday.
On the front, it says "Mike's Hard Lemonade" on the back "A hard Mike is good to find"
Maybe the man, the myth, the legend isn't so far off after all......

I'd need a boat with something that ran on more than a battery just to get from one end to the other. One of these days when I make it there to fish, I'll probably do it in the Rapid City area.

Now you could use one of those all-electric submarines Great Britain uses, but I don't think it's going to be very stealthy in the crystal clear water.

Who needs a fish finder when you have a periscope?
