Yes it is! If you're talking about the BPS brand, it does, Pflueger makes ALL bps reels!

Yes, BPS reels are made by Pflueger.

I'm not so sure shakespeare makes pflueger reels though. They are both owned by pure fishing though (as well as berkley, abu garcia, penn, and a bunch of other brands).

Here's a list of the companies owned by pure fishing.

Shakespeare
Abu Garcia
Berkley (includes fireline, trilene, gulp, powerbait)
Penn
Xtools
Pflueger
Mitchell
Fenwick
All Star
Spider Wire
Stren
Johnson (I guess they make spincasting reels)

I'm 99% sure my Johnny Morris Signature Series spinning reel is made by US Reels. I actually might return it since the drag is not completely smooth and has a "grippy" spot.

Are you sure Obama didn't bail them out and now owns them all?

Not sure about all that but I am pretty sure I heard Al Gore taking credit for inventing the fishing reel.
