When to use a worm
So when do you justify puting down the crankbaits, spinner baits, etc. and using a T-Rig Worm? Also what how do you decde color?

color usually by water clarity , say clear 10 ft plus use earth colors ie, greens browns and so on , stained I like blues watermelon flake and stuff like that , heavily stained , black with a chartreuse tail . I know some explained the color breakdown better than i just did a while back try the search tab to pull up that thread it was def a lot of help

To add to what Jim said, when fish don't hit fast moving baits and you need to slow down a T-rig is always in the mix.

it depends on what i am doing like working docks or brush piles.. if i run a crank by a couple times on the outside of a dock and get nothing i immeditly switch to a t-rig and pitch the dock supports. for this i use a big bulky bait sweet beavers, paca craw, brush hog,or a big worm..brush piles same thing work the faster baits through it then change gears and drop in the texas rig..

i've always thought like clear water was 2ft + stained was 6"-2' and muddy was 6" visibility.. then you use lighter colors lighter water.. i lost my little log.. since half of it got soaked..
