haha.. yeah.. when march rolls around i dont think about anything but fishing..

and i do those calculations all the time..

lets see.. i cut grass 2-3 days a week..making roughly 40-60 bucks a day.. then it takes like 20 bucks to get to his house and back those 3 days..then gas in the truck .. and a bait monkey feeding session on the way home from work.. leves me with like 40 bucks when i get through the week

No league needed. Join the Federation of either FLW or BASS (or both if you want). You also pay a reduced cost for the FLW or BASS membership by joining the federations. $10 for the Federation and $10 for FLW or BASS (at least that is what it costs here). Make sure they have a youth division and a director.

younggun - keep asking around and find a teacher that fishes. Put a couple flyers out and set a meeting date and see who turns up. Might be surprised.

now that i think about it.. all our teachers are women except for
3..

a 24 year old, a 35 year old and a 75 year old.. the 24 year old is the computer teacher and i doubt he'd be interested.. the 35 is the physics teacher and adv. math(cal, pre cal, trig) teacher.. doubt he'd be interested and deff. not the the 75 year old..

the football coach hunts.. and the other guy coaches arent afilliated with the school.. just parents that coach..

so if i could find a parent that would be interested, then we might be in buisness

oh.. by the way.. i go to a private school

Public or private - doesn't matter. But on the matter of getting a sponsor check out what happened here two weeks ago.

Our local Congressman spoke at the Dedication for the new High School. He was talking about the organizations at the school and shocked me and a lot of others when he talked about the bass team and FFA. Yep, those are the only organizations he spoke about. You see he's a big fisherman and loves the idea that one of the high schools in his district has a Bass Fishing Team. You never will know where you'll get your support.

The sponsor at Orange County High School is a female science teacher. Don't count out those teachers either.

Do little digging. I was surprised at how much information there is out there for HS fishing teams, and who was covering it. This link is from the NY Times.
