1/4oz will dive about 8 feet. 1/8 oz will dig to about 5 feet.. they are a bullet proof bait you wont break them..

Buzz - Series 3, 4, and 5 will cover almost all depths. Fished the 3 a little this spring and it's been ok. The RC 1.5, I believe, catches more fish in shallow water. My friend has done real well on the Series 4 and 5 this spring fishing in a little deeper water. These two compare well with the Deep Lil N and the DD14 when it comes to depth.

I was talking to a guy in my bass club about crankbaits and he swears up and down that the most important thing for catching bigger fish (difference in dinks to 5lbers) is the "curve" the crank has. For example a RC 1.5 has a shallow curve (almost flat) than a DD14 (like a football) or a DD22 (half moon). He claims that color is also important given the weather conditions (cloudy, sunny etc.) but that size depends on the "Curve". I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this and any opinions you might have. I'm inclined to believe him as he has won 4 of our 5 tourney's and recently came in 3rd in the co angler division of the local FLW tourney. Thoughts? As always your feedback is appreciated.

I prefer a DD22 (Norman) or a DT16 (Rapala) for my deep cranking. I like to hit deep points with brush on them in the middle of the summer. Also any drop you can find like 12 to 20 type stuff usually works pretty well also |
