Cool Ky Lake

I live near the lake so every so often go down for about 1 hr just to toss in,if I have an hr to kill.
Lake is 63F on the main but many westerly shallow coves are much higher.
Started out topwater like I always do,and like I always do its some kinda frog, many swirls and a few half hearted attempts in the first 15 min, then several little buck bass off the grass edge.
Then they stopped and all of a sudden two casts in a row these two,out of same mold about 16 in,oh yeah on a frog, horny toad to be specific.
My hr was up almost so headed home.

Did I mention its a topwater bite and on frogs(even if they were horny toads)

As for the stone as they say all things shall pass, although some more painfully than others.
Do hope you get over it,and get out a tad bit.

Those two were on the bed with smaller bucks taking it before them. They have a habit of showing themselves swatting at baits not eating them, irritate them enough and they try to crush it.
For the next few weeks could fill the freezer easily,I do not keep fish at spawning time, all are released.
3 crappie fishermen caught 248 today with 85 of them being keepers.10 in or more
