start using credit cards, once you've maxed it out or can't afford the minimum payment it usually causes you to not purchase any more gear, lol, obviously just kidding, don't try this.

After my last 3 rods and one reel I locked him up in the cellar. I banished him for 3 months. lol Still need a ton of new lures and plastics. He'll be creepin back before you know it.

I actually kept him at bay today at Wal-mart. First time ever! Clearance and everything! I'm so proud to still have the $14 I started the day with.

Stop the bait monkey? Ain't gonna happen. It is in the death and taxes category.

The only way that I know how to stop the bait monkey and I cant beleive I am even saying this is to stop fishing. What a horrible ,offensive ,degrading ,sick, perverted, aggonizing, death that would be. By the way did I mention that the bait monkey will NEVAHHHHH be caged up at mouse. (till the ole lady gets that da@mn rollin pin out)

the bait monkey can never be stopped..in fact, this is just the tip of the iceberg..you will find yourself, lying, cheating, stealing ,,dealing with unsavory characters to feed that little monster...
give up...and work more overtime....
and laser, you are one sick puppy for even suggesting that...

the bait monkey rocks.........my girlfriend calls the fishing area at walmart the
"the fun zone". i have lures, sinkers and hooks and gadgets at the house here, that i forgot i bought and purchased more to replace them. it is a good day for me when i can leave the walmart fun zone and not buy anything.

Who can avoid a clearance for a buck a bag. Gander still has a pile of Strike King plastics (Wild Thing, Tube Lizards, Flipp'n Tubes) for 97 cents ea. and these are good lures, not the junk some companies try to get rid of. It's too easy to blow 50 bucks to stock up on items you may never see again.

(Of course the last time they worked, was the last time they will ever work again!) LOL

At least I passed on buying the Daiwa Advantage Reel on sale at BPS for 1/2 off. Good thing the sale went off over two weeks ago!

Is it true that tournament anglers have it worse than rec anglers when it comes to bait monkey insanity?

The Bait Monkey Cant Be Stopped. Face It. Ive Got So Much Stuff I Havent Even Used Yet Let Alone Taken Out Of The Box. But I Continue To Buy More. I Averaged $130 A Week For Three Months Of The Summer Last Year. But Its All Worth It For One Fish If You Ask Me.

Zook,
Thats more than I've spent. I have spent over $1200 in one visit to BPS.
But I never leave until I break the $250 mark.
After all we do have Daves as well as Fishin Fever just right up the road.
I "may" get outta there for about $150. Granted thats like once a week.

I had the bait monkey on my back BAD when I really started to have success with fishing...every week I would set aside 15 bucks and go about 35 miles to a bass tackleshop and just loook and look ..rofl

once the kids were in college I had no money, so that cured me of having to buy and buy..now that they are graduated I am slowly getting the monkey on my back again, I see lots of great products on this site, bet thing is to hear the personal recommendations of anglers that use it all the time..
Last year I heard about tiki sticks on here and really reeped the rewards of using it.
