Default Grass on Kentucky Lake

We are looking for some grass on Kentucky Lake. We will be fishing out of Paris Landing and New Johnsonville. Where is the grass located? We cannot fish the Kentucky side of the lake but we are fair game for the Tennessee portion.

I don't know if the grass is quite green yet. When I went saturday we found a lot of grass beds in Bass Bay and Leatherwood creek. Both of these places are pretty much directly inbetween New Jville and Paris.

Its to early for most grass, some is sprouting ,extremely shallow bays may have some ,I did find a small patch almost to the top.
Last year flood killed a lot it didnt recover until late aug, normal topped is arouind late june to early july,on the main lake.
Alternate veggies are up in places, reeds ,rushes, buckbrush, and believe it or not lilly pads.
To find any that are go to the back ends of bays till the boat wont hardly float.
Water temp was 54f few days ago a front had come thru ,now 70s every day and fri 80,lake temp will shoot up quick.
Spawners also are in the back ends some not a lot but some, due to their shallowness, look for a bay that isnt but 2 1/2 ft deep anywhere and 1 1/2 in the backs.
Yeah im a skinnydipper out of Paris Landing.
Taken two days ago.

taken yesterday

And theirs never enough grass in the ky portion to fill a bathtub, hardly, small patch in big bear about 30 yards wide, new johnsonville area ,bass bay etc have beds that are starting and off the bottom.

Yes allisons are also good for skinny dipping not just passing the crowd,my 2002 has a fairly shallow draft and the prop is at pad level, all the time,no problem at all getting it up or in tight places. So they do a lot more than just 90 mph.

14 in fully loaded, can get on plane in 18,can enter as so long as i have 1 ft on plane, just like a tad more than a ft once stopped .
Spent all fall in a field of lilly pads with duck hunters who waded out not getting their knees wet,and no their being in it didnt hurt the bite any .
other than that is just amazing the only other boats I see late at winter pool (354)are flat bottom with mud buddies on the back end.
In all fairness down to 355 Steve Hubers Triton gets in there,we took 5th place in the Yellow creek open.

Uh within 2 miles of paris landing ramp, only ones ive found up in 40 miles.
There is grass and pads beneath in places (bass bay)(birdsong, new johnsonville)those are the only topped ones ive found, hidden in plain sight, but if I told ya would have to kill ya.
This my honey hole but wont be up till about june, secret hole number 178

It regularly produces this.

Taken in Sept
Early toss in near alternate types of veggies notice the green cattails starting.Notice the frog, taken yesterday.

And buckbrush is great for frogging.
