Yeah they're nice and all but the handles are all on the wrong side

My first baitcaster was a Ryobi. Still have it and it works.

I have a few of them and love them without equal. I bought my first one in 1981 and retired it sometime in 1997 or 1998. Just unbelievably great reels! I now have the BB-1NG and BB-1NGHS, and comptemplating a couple of more now that I live in Georgia where they throw crankbaits a lot more than we did in Texas.

I wonder how long it takes to oil up 847 reels. Surely to god if trilene sees that pic they will sponsor.. even if he only spools half of them!

he like me uses these pictures to prove what he owns for insurance purposes..trust me thieves will steal you blind. alot of the older anglers here while probly wont amit it. have more money tied up in the tackle then they have in the boat. it is much easier from an insured point of viewed to have them steal the whole dam boat than just the tackle..lets face it. it is hard to prove what you own to an insurance company.photos are a massive help..especially when dealin with something like the lews reels which are no longer made so the book price would be researched off e-bay.

Well I used to have a lot more gear. I learned a valuable lesson, when you are dating someone and you have the 'BIG FIGHT' and you decide to tell her how you really feel.....

make sure you have all your fishing gear, camping gear, stainless steel grill and tools out of her garage!

I learned the hard way and now I am rebuilding.

Ouch Douger, not good. Reminds me of some of those LEVIs ads where its the same type deal, but the guy always comes back to get his jeans.

Me thinks this forum needs to plan a special ops mission into Douger's ex's garage.

I appreciate the thought, but I even tried warming back up to that woman to try and see what I could get back out of the deal. She sold everything she could and threw out the rest.

Needless to say the relationship was way beyond repair after that.

I guess I could have sued her in small claims but I would have a hard time proving the stuff I lost.

But hey, married now to a woman that likes to fish so it worked out better anyway

Coulda been worse, I coulda ended up married to the nutcase and still had my stuff...... NAH! I came out on the better end of that deal.

Douger, that reminds me of that insurance commercial that has been running lately where the gal chunks all of the boyfriends stuff (including the couch) out the window of a three story building onto his car in the street! Bummer!

This thread got me thinkin' bout my own insurance and I recently switched to Boat U.S., which actually is a whole lot better than my previous, they covered my boat, trailer, engine, electronics and even tackle and the cool part is each has a specific deductible...for a total loss you pay a $500 deductibe, but if you have your rods & tackle stolen it's like $200 for $5,000 worth of coverage, and your electronics are the same as your tackle..I need that coverage with the addition of the 997 SI..which I might add is the most ridiculous piece of fishing equipment you could ever ask for..it's hard to fish with this I could just drive around the lake and watch this thing like t.v. for 8 hours straight..anyways thought I'd share
