Default Sunglass lens color

Just wondering what other fisherman prefer in lens color for polorized sunglasses. I've used both dark blue and gray. Never tried the amber colored lenses though. I plan to replace the sunglasses I have now, but am undecide which color lens to go with this time for eliminating the glare on the water and giving me the best view of whats beneith the surface. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Amber is very good. Another color that works seeing the fish in green weed areas is a pea-green. Very hard to find pea green lenses, but I'd recommend a pair if you find them. The amber glasses don't shade the waters as much as most grays do and you can see a little deeper.

I used the amber for years on end and find they really help on overcast days.
The last couple of years I am using the grey polorized but need to pick up another pair of amber...they help alot after dusk driving too.

Amber covers most situations. Grey and yellow for the others.

So what you are telling me is that you wear your sunglasses at night?

I use amber in lower light settings and blue-grey when it is brightest. Might just be my eyes, but these shades work best for me in those conditions.

Keith, I use gray for sunny conditions and amber for cloudy/low light. You will see a big difference if you haven't use amber when it is cloudy.
