Default Heading out in the AM.

And I'm ready to go! Hitting Flint Lake instead of Loomis where I have been fishing this year. Hoping to get into some larger bass. Supposed to be sunny and 80 degrees tomorrow, so we'll see. My 12 foot jon hasn't got much room, but I have 8 rigs ready to go.
1. Buzz bait
2. Spinner bait
3. Super Spook
4. Shallow Crank bait
5. Jig and Craw
6. Floating Hard Jerk Bait
7. Frog
8. Wacky Rigged Worm

That's the starting line up. It was hard to decide what to take, and I can only have so many rigs ready at one time. But I think it's a good start. Winter was fierce and lasted wayyyy too long, so the water temp are just now maybe nearing 60 degrees if that. I havn't hear of any bedding, and I know last weekend, there were no signs of beds yet. But I'm hoping this weeks warmer weather is finally pulling them in a little bit. We'll see. The floating hard jerk bait, a Rattlin Rouge has been killing the bass my last two outing, but all small. Hope to get the interest of some larger brutes tomorrow. Lipless cranks lie in wait as well as a few other goodies.

Kieth here's wishing you success!!!

I did a a lake I fish often but first time this year.
Couple of ok ones but nothing worth taking picture of.
Lake has a one bass 18" limit and I waded.
Very heavy pressured lake.

The water was way way low.
Every other BOW in the state is high....but not this one.
Mats up but NO PADS?
What a wierd season.

Saw two beds but the bottoms are also covered with moss this year and even the sunnies can't find a place to make beds.

So I'm counting on you to show me the upper midwest is still 'bass land'.
caught majority on 'wacky' but some on weightless texas.
Whaky could only be fished on few spots because the veggy growth is bad.

But I'm probably hitting it 4-4:30 cause the boaters get out early here.

Oh and I was the only one I saw catch ANYTHING and I did a 5 to noon shift.

Again, best of luck and have a GREAT DAY!

Thanks Joe, and I'll do my best to show it's still "bass land" here in the Midwest. lol It's 3AM and I'm heading to the lake shortly. The boaters hit here early too and if I don't get there first, there is no where to park the trailer. No parking lot at this primitive launch, just along the side street, most of which is a no parking area.

Picked up eight small ones in the first couple hours and then everything shut down. I was headed home by 10:30, earlier than I ever head home. Most of the other fisherman had already left before me. Very tough fishing. No wind and no clouds, sunny, hot and humid! But I did get some pics of the day which I will share later when I have the time.
