Default wo froggy

I have been fishing swimming frogs{horny toads, sizmic, cane toads, ect.} and I picked up some bronze eye frogs to try out. My question is can you only fish and plastic body frog in grass and lillys, or can they be fished in or around rocks and trees or other cover? Any tips would be of help thanks.

I normally only throw frogs around mats, and then only sparingly. They will catch fish other places, but with the poor hookup percentage why handicap yourself?

That's so true! Specially in dawn when the lake is quiet!

Last week on vacation I tried the tex-poser style hooks on horney toads and other frog baits. Seemed to give me a better hook up ratio. Brought the hook point through the very back of the toad and buried the point just under the back.

Thumbs up

I've been using the new Buzz Frog from Yum with amazing success. The funny thing is that with this lure I have had better luck using it in open wateer just on the edge of the weeds, around brush, and so on, than I have in the slop. Those swimming legs when I retireve it like a buzz bait seems to drive bass nuts!
