Exclamation 5" senko-best hook type/size/brand

I went out fishing today and was a little disappointed by the fact that more than half of my fish were lost in the rocess of playing/hooking.

I'm using a 5 inch tiki stik.

What brand/size/type of hook did you guys find most successful at hooking Bas no matter what?

I need the sharpest son of a gun out there,

For a 5" Senko I would use a 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu hook. Trust me they are the sharpest most reliable hooks out there.

one thing that can help more than shaper hooks is using a rod with some backbone and line with very little stretch like braid or fluro,, just depends how sharp the hooks were and how light the rod was and how much stretch was in the line, its all part of the equation. I often use a medium heavy duty rod with 20lbs braid and often a flick of the wrist is all I need to set the hook, and I usually use eagle claw razor, or gamakatsu hooks both in ewg with a 3,4, or 5/0.

I use a 2/0 or 3/0 offset shank worm hook, and I NEVER make a cast without making sure the hook is sharp. If it isn't, I sharpen it.

Very, very good response Rob, it's not just the hook that can mess up a good day of fishing. I use a Owner 2/0 or 3/0 offset wide gap hook, or Gammy's in the same size.

I would check out hookerz tackle. Those hooks are amazing and super sharp.

I use nothing but the Gamakatsu EWG's. The one thing I need to warn you about is the very tip of the points bend somewhat easy when they hit bone in a decent sized bass's mouth or when you hang up on wood or rock and the tip of the point get's exposed. Any time you hook a fish or get hung up, check the hook point because when it get's bent it will cost you fish
