Around here, a female will grow 1 1/2 too 2lbs in one year! A male will grow 1/2lb - 1lb in a year. I sure if you go to your state's wild life commition web sight you could find out.....

Food source makes a huge difference, if the fish have protein, they will grow fast. Around here 1/2 lb is quite a bit in a year, but I know of a smallmouth fishery where they put on around 1 lb average, state records come from there every few years.

It varies from body of water, state to state, region to region.

yeah this pond hes talkin about is great and has a lot of forage- minnows, frogs, crawdads, and baby ducks...... no joke the lady lets us fish it b/c she thinks the big bass are eatin her baby ducks

yeah the owner said some of his friend put some 3lbers in it when it was new.... so maybe they might be 9 or 10 lbs

"How much do bass grow in one year?"

Hmmmm...Well, I know one bass that put in 40 acres of cotton last year. His wife grew some nice 'maters too. Honest!
