Default any guesses

i just wanna make sure we did a good thing here.

this is a picture of a boat that myself and wags(my fishing partner and member here) picked up today. it is our new addition to the family. here is what i want from all my knowledgable fishing friends here. tell me what you think was a fair price to pay.

here are the details:
1990 - 18' ranger361v w/trailer - aluminum rims
150 HP rebuilt mercury motor(rebuilt by a very trusted mechanic)
107# motorguide trolling motor
minor facial fixing needed(clear coat peeling, rod locker handle, etc)
also threw in a couple of life vests.

just give me some ballpark figures that anyone would be willing to pay for a boat like this, so i can see how good we did. i will post our price in the next couple days.

thanx, ken

I would put it about $3500 in really good shape. That's actually higher than NADA.

hey Basscrazie,...this is Ken's partner in crime. It has a small eagle suprapro on the bow. Has a place for another on the dash, but nothing there at this time. Also came with a nice boat cover. Not letting the cat outta the bag yet on the price. This is Ken's thread.....I'll let him

Ok, inquiring minds want to know what was actually paid for it. My guess is something well below what suggested the "value" was. I am beginning to suspect something more or less insane, like a $1000 or less?

ok ok, it wasnt the steal of a lifetime, but for us at this time and our desire for a new boat, it was a gr8 deal.

we paid $2500 cash, and after a good cleaning and 2 new tires for $120 i am still feeling pretty darn good about it. just the fact that i get to feel like i am on a dance floor compared to the pedestal we fished on the last 3 years, lol. there is a soft spot for our other boat and we learned alot in it, but let the fat man have some space, lol.

look forward to chatting more with you guys soon.

For the condition of the boat, if the motor runs good then you did get a Gr8 deal! Especially if you feel really good about it! Congrats!

well bob, i think we feel pretty good about it for sure. we took it out to get the (been in storage for 2 years) out of its system, took a few minutes, but we got it started and smoked out. we then decided to take her off the trailer and see what she had. we got her up to about 55mph, and she ran damn good. i now feel real good about our purchase.

cant wait to get her out and throw a few.

thanx guys,
ken

I think you did good..If that boat came with the lowrance x70 and you still got the sensor hull mounted as most people didn't take them out then i got one..
