Mercury ELPTO issue
Just wanted to see if anyone has had this issue possibly.
On a 2000 Mercury 125 ELPTO outboard, my water pressure gauge is showing 8-10 psi but the water stopped discharging out of the pee hole. I have removed and cleared the tube and there are no obstructions. Installed a new propeller last summer and do not have the 100 hours on it that is recommended for change out. Any tips or suggestions before I remove lower unit to check it out? What tells me that its not that is that I have good pressure but anything is possible. Thanks

8-10 is not great presure. The pee hole may not work till the termo stat opens.
Sounds like a bad stat. My old 200 Merc would push 20 psi cold and 15 hot. My new Merc 200 does not have a PSI gauge. It supposed to be digital.. Capt Mike

Yea it could be but tstats just don't normally go out on freshwater only motors but can. May be the pump. Ugh. Just have to tear into it. Will let ya know what I find. Thanks for the input!

Could it be not enough PSI to push water through the pee hole?
