Two at the top, one big and one small. Two more below them. Last one is hidden in the shade on right side next to the hole. Small section of the tail is showing.

I messed around with the large one up top. It swam away. The little one came chasing the Paca craw. Could have caught it if I wanted to.

Yep, got my bait hung up and floated in to retrieve it. When I bumped the laydown things started moving in the brush pile. So I took a quick pic for my tournament partner who just hates snakes.

Yes. You can see it in the first pic in my Results post.

A lot of short, less than 15", fish were caught in our tournament. How'd your boat handle the river? You make any runs or just stay in the creek?

Taling my tin can with a 9.9 was a little awkward when we launched. I got buzzed by so many lol. I stayed in the creek the entire time. My buddy gave me a ride over to Occoquan the day before on his skeeter. The place is huge!

It's a big river. Plenty of places to fish. We had a flood tide due to the winds so you should have been able to get back into areas most guys won't take their boats.

Is that why it went so high!!! I was shocked. i thought the tide swing would be like 1.5 ft or so at most guys were saying.

Winds from the southeast will push water into the river and keep it from running out during the falling tide. Moon phases also affect it. They had a really high tide last weekend, full or new moon, which caused flooding but the fishing was really good.

The snakes don't bother me. Actually if I see them then I know there's food around. And when there's food then there's bass. Caught 14 off this same area. Check out the first pic in the Results page. Got the same pile of sticks.

I always liked the reflection of the snake and lights on the glass that separated Mr. Ford from that snake.

Also anybody notice the 1" white grubs they used in place of the meal worms in the second movie??? Like the meal worms are going to bite you?? Wimpy actors. Probably had a stunt man or double put his hand in the grubs too.

Buzz - Did you enlarge the pic? If so then you may want to get the eyes checked.

As a practicle joke I once took a rubber snake and twisted it all up into a ball. Strapped under my bass boat seat so when you undid the the strap it fell and started to unravel and looked very alive.

The poor fisherman leaped from the boat into the water to get away from the rubber snake. His wife was in on it and it was something to see a 6 foot 4 inch man holding his fishing rod up and trucking thru the water towards shore. Screaming like a girl the whole way..

Wife was just about to pee herself from laughing. Crazy Maine-rs...
