here is the rowboat that i'll pair it with also. this boat and motor belonged to my uncle who passed away about 12 years ago from cancer. me and my cousin (his son) would go out with him constantly and fish and after he died i stopped fishing for the most part.. the boat got sent up to my other uncles house for storage and the motor somehow ended up in my garage. now that i found my love for fishing again my uncle decided i could have the boat im going to sand her down completely and repaint, already did the oars, and i'll name the boat after my departed uncle. he was a great fisherman and a great teacher too.

just figured i'd share the story with y'all because i think its pretty neat. everything just kinda fell into place. i will be looking into getting a new (better) motor though.. the wondertroll 600 can probably only take so much more!

Man o Man...that troller looks awesome for it's age. I wish my wife aged that well! Keep us posted on the resto, and of course...send pics!
That is a cool story. The guy I bought my tin can from (which is my first boat) bought it with his dad who passed away. I was thinking about naming it after them two. They both shared many a great memory on it and then passed it on to me. Now it's my turn to make many a great memory.
Good luck with the restoration. Looking forward to seeing it all redone.

bama - i promise i will keep that motor as long as i live, even if she craps out on me one day, it will stay in my possesion.

nobass - thats actually a very good question, and i am a little curious, but considering the story behind it and how it is a family heirloom in a way, i wouldnt sell it for all the tea in china.

donutman - youre so right!! its like an addiction! once you start its constantly on your mind and i am always thinking of different things i could do to the boat to make it even better than she already is.

When I was 10 years old I cannot begin to tell you how many hours I put on one just like that, except I had a 10' flat bottom boat. Tons O Fun!

i kinda wish this thing was a flatbottom as well.. the vhull isnt too easy to stand up in haha. i was thinking of removable outriggers, but that will take some planning.
