Default New PB on Opening day.

Well, now that C&R is open here in Michigan I was able to get out on Kent Lake with Bender and some other guys in a fun club. Well they were on and off most of the day but the best bite was on lipless baits. Mine came on a red eye shad - RED Craw Chartreuse & bleeding chrome w/blue back. In total I think my partner and I boated about 20 LM, 1 SM, 1 Perch and a 15+ lb carp!

I'm not sure of the weight, but we thought that it went over 6, not sure if it made 7. You guys be the judge of that. I know that it's the biggest bass I've ever caught, and my partner said it's the biggest he's seen.

THEN the storm of all storms came in!!! Saw the sky turn dark blue, wind picked up and before you knew it we had 3 footers on a small inland lake. It was a little scary for a couple of minutes. But it was a great day to be out on the water.

(First fish of '09 - new KVD tour rod, quantum PT Tour reel, 12 lb BPS Fluoro) - all fish caught on this setup -

Looks like a fun time man. Good fish and setup too. I'd say around 4.5-5lbs.

That's at least a six pounder, but regardless, that's one good looking Michigan LM.

That's awesome man! I can't wait till we get a second battery hooked up and get out on the boat! But one question, was It cold, I see a sweatshirt. I don't know about up there, but it's still 83 here at almost 9:00. Shorts and a T-shirt all day out working.

Way to go MIB! I bailed on the entire opening weekend. Rained the entire time.
Hoping for nice weather this upcoming weekend. Got my lake picked out for one of the 2 days
