the dew issue..

bein that i drink mountain dew alot..since me and coffee don't agree.. i am wondering has anyone tried the dew throwback yet?? what is your thoughts??

this is the stuff made with real sugar not that bull crap sweetener...

btw i am a long time dew guy so i like it..same flavor ya used to get in the 1/2 liter glass bottles..

well, you are right zooker. now sugar. now tell me this, what does the throw back can look like? i drink only 2 kinds of soft drinks. COKA-COLA and MOUNTAIN DEW. that is IT, nothing else. oh and the COKES, gotta have the classic only. no diet, no caffiene free or nothing like that. gimme the HARD stuff. don't even water it down with ice. straight only. as my grandfather used to say, "will it put out a fire if ya poured it on it?" "then it is good muff fer me".

the sugar dews have the old wrapper on them you know the words mountain dew are kinda mashed togather..the wrapper is a tad darker color too..

the new one with corn suryp looks like some kind of urban camo wrapper..

the inetresting thing is the sugar one has less calories, less sodium,less carbs and more caffine.. and taste alot better imo..

The new dew that's not the throwback most likely has fructose in it instead of regular sguar. the reason they do this is because fructose is MUCH sweeter than regular sugar. that means they can use less, which means lower cost and calories.

Zook, I jus thad one of the throwbacks today and it does taste btter than the normal ones. I also think it tastes better out of a plastic bottle than a can. Here's the new throwback label.

hahahahaha, 66 i hear ya pal. i bet your wife says the pepsi is sweeter than a coke huh? that is why i like coka-cola. it has a kick to it. not sweet. dews are for when i want something sweet. and thanks bb. i'll look for em pal. and the reason i buy the cans is cause they will fit in my lunch bos along with my lunch. i take a 6 pack of drinks with me every day. no... i usually don't them all in 8 hrs. BUT if i have to do over time, i got some drinks. the fellas think i am crazy to lug my bos to work every day. i ask them how much do they pay for a drink. it is usually around $1.75 including tax for a 20 ounce drink right? well, i buy my can drinks in the 24 pack. around 7 bucks for the case. saves me alot of dough. and i can cash in the cans. save the enviroment and all that stuff.

If they really wanna throw the dew back, they need to put it in some glass longnecks. Ahhh... dems was the days. Everything tasted better then.

ya got that right stick. get ol gus and that other gang they had on them bottles while yer at it. man i used to love them thangs. of course they all taste better in a glass bottle. my father remembers when they used to put REAL cocain in cokes. it wasn't much now, but he said it tasted different when they stopped. and no it didn't get anyone high. just changed the taste some he said.

I don't know if it's me or what. Sometimes Pepsi tastes a lot better than other times. I can't wait till I get a hold of some and see if it has "that taste " that I remember. Maybe it's why I can't stand the taste of coke and RC colas, not sugar but corn syrups.

why do you think they put beer in a glass bottle? cause it taste better.. and if they changed to a plastic bottle every frikkin beer drinker on the planet would rise up and demand justice. you know why cause the drinkers are over 18...

what is it something like 30 percent of regular soda drinkers are over 18...basicly they figure they can push the cheap plastic bottle on the young and dumb..

Jones Soda has developed a following using just cane sugar. Its good stuff, especially the root beer.

I wish they had throwback dr pepper.

Jones Soda has the only Cream Soda I like. Their rootbeer is awesome too. A Dr. Pepper throwback would be good too.
