Default 4.6 Lm bass, beaver bait

I was out over the weekend and I got this 4.6lb LM bass on my Floating craw beaver bait. I rigged it TX style with a ¼ oz. tungsten bullet weight. These craws stand up off the bottom with no standup jig head. I was using the Black/Red flake. Fall is starting to roll in and I can see the bass lying on the bottom using my fish finder. Most of the bait in the lake I was fishing is in so what deeper water now.

As water starts to flip theres more oxygen down there than on top,its a weird thing and time of year can catch fish in 1 ft or 26 ft

So your saying from 1 to 26 feet all or most of the oxygen is on the bottom of the lake ? So later in the year would the bass spread out after the water is done mixing ? or would they still be together into winter time ?
Thanks

During the warmer months the oxygenated water is above the thermocline which is where the lake stratifies. Usually there is a big temperature drop below it. I first discovered this scuba diving-hit the thermocline and there is a very noticeable drop in the temperature. When the lake turns over the oxygen rich water gets mixed in with the less oxygenated water and the fish can be found at any depth. It usually really scatters them out and it is tougher to find them. Once it settles down the fish become more predictable again. Nice fish, BTW!
