My monkey is killing me!
I've got to nail this guys feet down or something. I didn't know a monkey could get this carried away. In the past two months I've retired two late 80's Shimano BC reels and have vamped up to the following:
3 BPS Pro Qualifer reels. 1 5.2:1 and 2 6.4:1 Abu Garcia Revo S 6.4:1 for pitching 2 7' BPS Bionic Blades (1 m/f and 1 mh/f) 7' BPS Extreme with retractable butt (7'6" extended) mh/f for pitching Plus around $250 in new tackle to replace what I've lost over the years. So far not too bad, but I plan on buying a new Stratos 176 XT or 186 XT in March. So much for a relaxing hobby, huh?

That's what she said!
Are you ordering from BPS or do you have one nearby? If you are getting it shipped, just a head's up, try tacklewarehouse.com You can't beat the shipping at 5 bux for over $50 purchased, and most of the stuff is cheaper. Nice haul on the goodies though fo sho.

I don't know if it's a good thing or not, but the Seiverville BPS is 20-25 minutes away. I do need to check out TW though, for sure. I ordered almost $70 worth of stuff from BPS last night that they didn't have at the local store.

Yeah the Clarksville, IN BPS is 20 minutes away... that is a real problem for me. BUt if they dont have it, i order from Tackle Warehouse... and in dire straits, i will buy from Dicks... Dicks carries Reaction Innovation... te only local store that does so...

Tacklewarehouse gets 95% of my online orders. Great customer service and free shipping on orders over $50.
Just wait till your monkey starts pushing you towards more expensive rods and reels! BB

Oh yea...it starts out like a cute little guy whispering in yer ear as you try to walk by those shiny, spinning baits and creature plugs and plastic do dads. "Shhh...if you get that, you'll catch more fish....ooh, if you get that you'll catch bigger fish...ooh, you need one of those".
Before you know it, the little guy has gotten B_I_G_G_E_R... and so grows the list of wanna haves and must haves... Oh, it's a curse to be sure! I don't know if there's a cure or not. Surgical removal isn't really possible. I'm sure there's a 12 step program somewhere...but you'll need to get past the denial stage.

I've got the little sucker chained in a closet right now under threat of death if he says another word.
Why? Because the boat dealer less than two miles from me has a Stratos 176XT that has my name on it. At least, that's what HE keeps telling me. I'm afraid to go see for myself. It may be true.
