Haha...I'm sure nobody's getting that good of a night's sleep regardless. I didn't stay overnight at this year's event, but I got the impression people were up pretty late talking and perhaps imbibing a brew or two.

On a side note, I am headed back to Patoka this weekend, and you know what weed patch I will be anchored off in at 6am. I am a glutton for punishment, I guess.

Default May and June

We plan to be on that side of the country the entire month of May and June would would attend any dates. Cant wait.... Did OK at the US Open on mead this year as a AAA. We did not have enough pros short on boats but the $1,500 fee was a bit too much for some even though they did lower it from last year.

Star Point Resort is a top-notch fisherman's retreat, with many anglers attending annually in search of Dale Hollow's renowned smallmouth bass.

I have spoke with the management and have been allowed to put a temporary hold on the use of the entire LODGE facility(accommodates 26) until we decide on dates. Here is what is available at the lower priced non-seasonal rates. 20% discount

- April 29,30,May 1 and Management reports; best time for smallmouth; coming off beds.

- May 6,7,8 best time for smallmouth; coming off beds.

- May 13,14,15

- May 20,21,22

- June 3,4,5 and Management said if we would like, they would extend the lower priced non-seasonal rate for this time slot.

- June 24,25,26 Seasonal rates apply

Keep in mind that the month of May on average has more precipitation than the month of June.

Let's hear your thoughts so that we can pick a weekend and reserve the Lodge for our event.

That's good to hear, Lash.

Note to All: Remember that room#1 is adjacent to the Meeting Room. And that #1's kitchen can be opened to the Meeting Room for all of our meal preparations. Just keep that in mind when you make your reservations, that room#1's kitchen may be a busy place around dinner time.

JB, you're always welcome to fish with me if I have space open. However, I did ask a buddy to come along with me. He may or may not come, depending on if he gets back to work or not by then (he works construction, sound familiar, Woody? ). It's a firm "maybe".

So far, Bcklash, Nofearengineer(Rm#6), Woody(myself, Rm#5) have reserved their rooms in the Pine Lodge. Only four more rooms are available in The Lodge. Rooms #7,9,10 are 2 bedroom units that could possible be split between 2 or more of you. And room #1 with the common kitchen.

Remember that the resort will not ask for any money up front. Not until the first of the new year.

We reserved rm #8. We could move if it means getting more people in there.

If you don't mind me asking, what is so special about Vegas in July if there is no wedding? Well, other than it would enable her to totally crush your manhood.

P.S. I called Vegas...they said they'd leave the casinos open outside of July just for me if I asked them to.

Check out Woody's link, JB. Woody, Bcklsh, and I got the three 2-man rooms (#'s 5, 6, and 8). the rest are 4 or 6 person rooms. It sounds like the price is per room, not per person.

JB, all of the accommodations have very reasonable non-seasonal rates, that range in occupancy from 2 up to 6.

I believe that all of the double occupancy $65 rooms are booked.

Room#'s 5,6 and 8 are taken, as far as I know.

And duv coarse y'all got all the 2 person ones!

I think my dad would probably go with the campgrounds. Since It's gonna be cool outside, all we would need is to have few blankets and sleeping bags. Also a good sized tent. Anyone really know much about the campgrounds and how much they are? Probably not as much as the lodges right?
