I'm not thinking of committing until Feb or Mar as I don't know if I'll attend or if I'll be in a boat or a kayak if I do. Kayaks would be more economical, I got 21 MPG with the kayak trailer behind the Durango - that would be a significant saving on fuel (not even considering what I'd burn in the Triton). Fuel prices next spring will play a HUGE factor in my drivng the 750 miles and whether I drag the boat (yeah, I think I'm keeping it), or the kayak(s).

Cabin #0 (May 12-18) Mark (Woody)
3 bedrooms
-Mark and Cleo
-Ron and Adam
still available: 1 bedroom and pullout couch

Cabin #10 (May 13-19) Don(Nobass)
2 bedrooms
-Don and Jeff
still available: 1 bedroom

And also, I did not reserve any boat slips at this time. I figure it would be much more simple if everyone would reserve there own slip, however they see fit.

As far as what the marina has to offer in boatslips. The much older, covered boat dock located at the back of the marina have very narrow slips compared to the newer, covered docks located at the front of the marina. In my opinion the $3 increase in daily rental is money well spent.

Here a pic of the larger boatslip.

..notice how much room these offer.

..the older docks gave less than 12" on each side of my boat, very narrow.

This pic will give you a good idea of the size of the $16/day boatslips.

Hey Donald, I was just wondering......................

Does the son-in-law like scrapple?

Scrapple, eggs, homefries (no nasty grits) and a biscuit for breakfast on the deck at Dale Hollow....................

Ohhhhhhhhhh, that sounds GOOD.

Dang, made myself hungry so I'll be back later heading out for breakfast............ Guess what I having?

Hey Bruce, I was wondering the same thing..

And, while your making preparations, will there be time to go out and catch a few during the early morning topwater bite?

Well just in case... this is how close the restaurant is to our cabins. That's a pic of Nobass' cabin next door.

Hopefully the resturant was successful last year and they will be back. Did anyone ask about that for 2013?

I sure hope so too. I can't imagine the owners of the resort letting that building go vacant.. even if the present tenants aren't able to stay in business, I would think another tenant would take it over and keep it open for business. We'll have to wait and see..

If anyone feels like calling them and asking about it, go ahead and let us know what they have to say.

Y'know, some people are gonna think only Adam and Ron caught fish. I think that was photoshopped anyway, I seem to remember a very similiar picture where Ron had just held up a $5.00 Foot Long from Subway......................

I'm still waiting until late November, in hopes of a Black Friday deal. Hopefully, there will still be somebody interested in sharing a cabin with banjo-wielding Hoosier maniac who can't seem to catch a fish.
