Default How's fall treating everyone?

With it being the first weekend in November, I'm sure the fish are well into there fall patterns.

How's everyone faring? What seems to be the go-too pattern and presentation?

Ducks ok.
Pheasant good.
Bow hunters are seeing very few deer so far this year.

FISHING, a CHALLENGE!
Before the cold rains it was good but water temp yesterday was 48 degrees but kind of hoovering at that point. Probably till hard water and then the first couple of feet will drop to low 40s, high thirties.

It's that dreaded 'suspending' that causes the real challenge.
Sun will make them more active BUT not that much.

I throw jigs, creatures, and Flukes mostly with some crankin and worming thrown in.

The real trick is TO FISH SLOW.
I'm talking PAINFULLY SLOW!

Sam, good luck with the fishing and WHY aren't you Bow Deer Hunting with your new setup?

Went out today and the bite was very good until the wind kicked up and started murking up the water along the banks. They shut down after that.

Like Keith, our boat has been winterized and put in the garage up at our cabin until next Spring. Most of my fishing gear, however, came back with me to Owatonna to be inventoried and reorganized during the off-season. Still hoping to do some shore-fishing with my dad in Iowa this coming weekend, but this is how "fall" is currently treating me here in Southern MN...

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION: 4 TO 6 INCHES... WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* TIMING: RAIN WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM THE SOUTH EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON WITH A TRANSITION TO SNOW OCCURRING TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF LATE TUESDAY NIGHT OR EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS: THE FIRST HEAVY SNOW OF THE SEASON IS POSSIBLE DURING THE TUESDAY AFTERNOON COMMUTE. IN ADDITION... IT IS LIKELY TO BE A WET SNOW AND ANY TREES WITH LEAVES LEFT ON THEM MAY BE STRESSED... LEADING TO BROKEN TREE LIMBS AND ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES.

Default Fall fishing

I should have posted it here but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I've been on lake sidney lanier the last two weekends and the water temp is steady at 65-66°. the fish have been hitting a spinner bait and cranks. most of mine are on a booya 3/8 oz. I dont know the color but look in the pic. Its been chilly in the morning. last week it was down around 32. Thats dang cold to me but I know some of ya'll are from up north.

I always find it interesting to find out what sort of water temps others are experiencing in various parts of the country. We had 58-62 temps already back on the weekend of September 21. I guess that helps explain why we had a winter weather advisory for 1-4" of snow on October 20...one day after we pulled the boat from the water and put her away for the year.

Water temps here are in the low 50s. I caught this 30 inch Flathead on a black and blue jig the other day.

52-55 on Sunday. Good bite early then it tapered off and got pretty sporadic. We did net a carp that would have went 8-10 lbs that ate, yes ate, a 1/4oz trap.
