Question Bubble gum colors?

Why in your opinion do you think the bubble gum color works so well in your area? As most of you know I live in Canada with very clear water, seeing down in excess of 40 feet. but for some reason bubble gum color doesn't work well up here. We rarely have muddy water like the southern states, but my question is why would a bubble gum color work so well in muddy water if the bass can't see it well to begin with? Is it all in our heads? would another color lure perform just as well in the same type of conditions? How many of you use the bubble gum color over anything else? My color selection up her is watermelon, pumpkin, smoke, and green. Tell me your thoughts and if you like one over the other.

Robby.

My water is clear as the Vodka JB drinks and yet bubblegum super flukes work extremely well for smallmouths.

i use bubble gum color trick worms, and they work really well but other colors like white work just as good when theyre biting a trick worm. i think it is just a reaction strike the color really doesn't matter. are you using something like a texas rig when using the color or are you using something fast moving. if youre fishing it slow then they probably look at it to long and figure out its not real because it just doesnt look natural. i think the bright color works for fast moving baits because it catches their attention from long distances and doesnt give them time to think about biting or not.

I'm yet to use this color, but as PNJ stated, they work great for smallies; the exact reason I want to try them.

In the animal world, body parts that are pink are normally soft and fleshy, hence providing a sort of bullseye target. Thats my theory.

You're one willy-nilly man. One day you're at point A, the next day all the way to Point Z; smart, dumb; funny, weird...

Anyway, why doesn't anybody make a pink Bitsy Bug or something in the PNJ area. If they're so good, why's there no pink PNJ?

I throw bubblegum Flukes and trick worms in clear water down here and they work quite well. Amistad is very clear, and bubblegum is one of my favorite colors down there. I can't tell you WHY they work, but I have had good luck with them in both clear and stained water.
