Default cajun red

Any of you guys ever tried this stuff. It might as well be braided. I pulled up a log from under about 1 ft of mud and the line never snapped, the hook straightened without getting a nic on the line. I have used this line in several weedy and nasty areas and never saw it get the littles cut in it. Plus its got low memory and has hardly any stretch. It's some really great line.

How is the castability? What applications have you found this line to work best on (crankbaiting, spinnerbaiting, topwater, worming)? Just some questions.........

i used it for spinner baits and cranking i went with a 12 pound line for spinner baits -if you want to test mono but good cast back into the grass with a blade and reel it out. i never had any problems with it. the ever present back lash but that was me not it. i was running shad raps in stump fields and shell beds with no problems what so ever. the stuff is nearly as good as the ande i use and i have a couple reels still loaded with it.i have never had any fish spook because if the line color either.

I want to thank the Zookmeister for recommending this line.this stuff is awesome! And easy on the wallet too..It may be red,but it may as well be purple because it's just flat out decent line.Have my spinnerbait and crankbait rod rigged with it and have had zero issues with it.At 5-6 bucks for a 900+yard spool, theres no reason not to try it.

I bought some in the last couple of days from Cabela's, just thought I'd try it because of all the good things I've read about it on this site. Besides if it's any good I might give up Stren.

Thats not too much of a way to compare it. Thats like comparing Stren to a good line. ;D
Sorry, couldnt pass that one up.
Let me know how you like it. If it's good, I may get some for the ultralite when i am fishing with the wife. PowerPro might be just a bit much for that.

I've tried lots of different lines. I use mono for cranks, worms, florocarbon for dropshot, and braid for pitching and flipping. I've used Trilene Big Game, Sensation, practically all the lines Trilene has made and I haven't liked any of them. I've always turned back to Stren. The Big Game line had so much memory it knew my wife's birthday. After two days on the reel, it was almost uncastable. So my comparisons do not go unwarranted. I've fished long enough to know what works for me. So, having said all that I will continue to look for a line that will aid me. So far it has been Stren. Again if the Cajun line doesn't pan out, I'll continue to use Stren.
