Never used them. But I've held a few different models and all seem very tip heavy to me.

I THINK I got one, will check to be sure though. I have heard nothing but good things form folks that have and use them. See a lot of these around here.

I've got a USA made Team All Star Rod. It is somewhat tip heavy but the sensitivity is on par with rods costing 4 times as much. All Star was bought by Pure Fishing and moved their operations overseas. Look at your rod and see if it says "Houston TX" and "IM10" on it, if it does it is a made in the USA rod. The USA Team series also has Fuji reel seats, the Chinese made rods don't. The USA made All Stars were awesome rods. I don't have any experience with the Chinese All Stars, either way you got a really good deal on what should be a good rod.

Hey Jrob, the rod doesn't say Houston TX but it does say IM10 I'm hoping it still means its made in the USA.

Weird, i've not seen any that don't say both or none. Does it have a plastic butt cap or foam? Does the reel seat hood have a black oval that says Fuji or does it have a black circle?

I don't know man, I've never seen one like that. All the US Team All Stars I've seen say Houston, IM10, have a Fuji reel seat and a hard plastic butt cap. The Chinese rods don't say Houston or IM10, have a non Fuji seat and have a foam butt cap. Either way, you got a good deal on the rod. Don't worry about where it came from, just enjoy it.

The last 2 years they are made overseas, in China I believe. The new one are on clearance at Cabelas and Amazon. I bet the made in USA was a big selling point that Pure Fishing missed

I agree, there are still some USA made Teams and Platinums floating around. I've considering buying them to resell at a later date, probably not worth the trouble though.

I agree, you got a new rod and the fish aren't going to care where it was made. Enjoy it and catch you a hog with it!

Good rod. I've got a couple and am pleased with their performance.

I had a All Star that lasted 6+ years, finally snapped it hooking up on a big old log. That was the best lipless cranking rod I had, still looking for a decent replacement for it.

I've got an All Star rod that was given to me as a gift and I'm very happy with it.....I think it must be an older model by the pics you guys are posting....Mine says its a WR1, and IM6....Plus mine does not say "Team" but does say "Made in the USA".....I have no idea how old the rod is but I've got it matched with a BPS Extreme reel, and it does the job quiet well.
