try a weight less worm and run it over the top of the weeds slowly.

I'd try working the edges with a weightless bait like Scott suggests-a worm, a fluke, a Tiki Stick, etc.

That's another good option.

I'm glad you joined us. Â*We have a good bunch of folks here-the fur flies at times, but I'd fish with them ;D. Since you are new remember this: When it comes to fishing, the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked, so ask away.

If the conditions are ever right i'd fish along the edges with a spinner. I'd fish on the surface with one of them strike king rats.

Nope, that is no joke. We don't call ourselves bass addicts, bass-a-holics and tackle junkies for nothing ;D

I'm going to beat Lizards to the punch. Try fishing a weightless T-rigged lizard across the top of the vegetation.

Crown7- Welcome to the forum. Do yourself a favor and read through a bunch of the posts. You might have already caught on that it's been getting a little touchy with some of the stuff that's been posted lately. But like Reb said don't be afraid to ask questions.

I might use a plastic; such as brush hog but I'd peg a 1/8th oz. bullet sinker to get it through the veggies. Maybe a little heavier, just depends how the bait penetrates the weeds.

What he said ;D. Also I love to run a buzzbait along the edges, even where the moss is there, just keep cranking it over little section of it(not a lot mind you). I love aquatic vegetation period. It gives the fish places to hide, and ambush, provides more oxygen, and food supply for them. Now if you see some timber in with the vegetation, like limbs, logs etc.. you better wear out your arms fishing that spot

POWERBASS,

You did not say how deep the vegitation is and whether you are fishing from a boat or the bank.
If I were fishing SUBMERGED vegitation, and was fishing from a boat, I would try slow rolling a spinnerbait with a large (#5 or #6) Colorado blade just off the bottom along the edge of the weed line. By working it slowly, the thump of the blade will get thier attention and they will be looking for the source of the vibrations.

POWERBASS,

Then you are pretty well tied to one of the previous suggestions. My first thought would be a lizard, a worm, or a tube, then switch to a Senko type bait. Or vise-versa!

Been having a lot of luck with the fat frog and the black zoom frogs. Also just started using tiki stiks so far so good.

REB,

The only stupid question is one not asked?

I've wondered... do the bass REALLY dance a jig whenever they see a jig? If so, what kind? ??? ;D

Lone, That would depend if its a Northern, Southern or Western fish. Let alone what they do in the great white north(4 all u Canucks). This could be the ultimate need for a good underwater camera.
