this is right in your $ area.i cast weightless zoom trick worms with my president with ease.remember, you will not be an expert overnight!!!but i can tell you with confidence that this combo with a 6-6 m or a 6-6 mh will do the trick.if you use mono then spool it with cajun red cast.if you use braid then spool it with powerpro.both are limp and will backlash less than stiffer lines.

You could switch the reel handle to the "left handed" side on your spinning reels. I prefer reeling with my right hand and setting hooks with my left anyway, so all of mine are set up that way. Get well soon btw.

On the subject of p-line. To put it bluntly IT WORKS.PERIOD GOT IT! On the rod and reels....in the price range you stated there are sveral good manufactueres. I personally like shimano,ZOOK BEHAVE. The cardiff sells for 109 and Airrus rods are just plain hard to beat. Light ,sensitive, and the actions are fantastic. Do a search on the forum and you will see more of why I like them. In all reality the price range you stated will put you onto any good reel and combo being that with that kinda money you will be buying some of the higher quality rods and reels made by anyone. Check them out in person before u buy so you know what you will be comfortable with.
