i bought a shimano fx series rod tonight. A 7 ft. baitcasting rod! Medium Action, plan on using it for deeper cranks and topwater frog fishing! Thanks

You can fix the rod maybe, depends where the break is. We used to fix Rod's for about $20.00 so it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. post back where on the rod it's broken and I'll tell ya if you can fix it and how.

I could probably figure something out to fix it if I saw it, but the bottom line is the rod would not be as good as it was before and since it was a fiberglass, chances are it wont be too expensive to replace.

Sorry to hear that. That really can't be fixed. Even if there was a way to fix it, it would snap off again and nobody wants that occurring while fighting a fish. If it had been mid blank or lower, that is easily enough repaired. Do save your blank though to use in repairing rods that get broken and are low enough you can fix them.
